Privacy policy

The short version

• Your diary stays on your phone. There is no account and no server that receives your entries, so we cannot read them.
• Laruna has no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
• If you subscribe, Apple handles the payment. Our subscription service RevenueCat receives a random identifier and the purchase details, never your diary.
• If you write to us, we use your e-mail address only to answer you.

Who is responsible

Laruna is published by an individual developer based in Poland. The publisher's name and postal address are shown on the app's page in the App Store.

Your diary: stored only on your device

Everything you enter in Laruna is stored only in the app's storage on your device. This includes your medication and doses, injection sites, weight and measurements, how you feel, protein and water, strength workouts, goals, notes and settings.

• We do not receive this data. There is no account and no cloud sync.
• The app's storage is not part of iCloud backups. To keep a copy or move to a new phone, use Settings, Privacy and data, Export and delete data, Export backup. You decide where that file is saved.
• The doctor report (PDF) and exports are created on your device. They leave it only if you share them yourself.
• Reminders are scheduled on your device. Face ID or your passcode are checked by your phone; the app only learns whether the check succeeded.

Because you enter information about your health, the app asks for your explicit consent during setup (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with Settings, Privacy and data, Export and delete data, Delete all data. This removes all entries from the device.

Subscriptions

When you start a free trial or a subscription:

• Apple processes your payment under its own privacy policy. We never see your card or bank details, your name or the e-mail address of your Apple account.
• RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA) tells the app whether your subscription is active. It receives a random app user ID created on your device, the product, dates, price, currency and country of your purchase, the store receipt, and technical details such as the app version, the operating system and, briefly, your IP address. It receives nothing from your diary.
• Purpose: to give you access to what you paid for. Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• RevenueCat acts as our processor. Data may be processed in the USA on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses.
• RevenueCat keeps purchase records linked to the random ID for as long as we use its service. You can ask us to delete them.

When you contact us

If you write to support@laruna.app, we process your e-mail address and your message to answer you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in handling requests, or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if it concerns your subscription). Please do not send health details. If you do, we use them only to answer you.

E-mail is routed by Cloudflare, Inc. and stored in a mailbox provided by Google Ireland Limited. We delete requests 12 months after they are closed, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

This website

laruna.app is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. When you open a page, Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical request data to deliver the site and protect it from attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The website has no analytics and no tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie.

What we do not do

No ads. No analytics or tracking tools in the app. No sale or sharing of data for marketing. No profiling.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To use these rights, write to support@laruna.app. Most data is only on your device, where you can view, export and delete it yourself.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example in the country where you live, or with the Polish authority UODO (uodo.gov.pl).

Age

Laruna is for adults. It is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

We update this policy when the app changes and show the date at the top.
